Privacy Policy

TCG Card Central ("TCG Card Central," "we," "us," or "our") provides tools for trading-card scanning, collection management, wishlists, pricing, marketplace activity, trades, vendor and show workflows, and related services. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, when we share it, and the choices available to you.

1. Information we collect

We may collect information you provide directly, including your name, email address, display name, profile information, phone number, shipping or billing address, account preferences, support messages, collection and wishlist data, listings, trades, show or vendor activity, and other information you choose to provide.

When you use card-scanning features, we may process card images, scan results, card identifiers, condition information, pricing information, notes, and related metadata. We may also collect device, browser, IP address, log, security, diagnostic, and usage information needed to operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the service.

2. Facebook / Meta Login

If you choose to sign in with Facebook, Meta may provide TCG Card Central with information authorized through Facebook Login, such as your Facebook user ID, name, email address, and profile photo or other public profile information made available by the permissions you approve. We use this information only to create, locate, authenticate, or link your TCG Card Central account and to provide account-related functionality.

TCG Card Central does not use Facebook Login to post to your Facebook account, access your friends list unless a future feature separately requests and receives permission, or sell personal information received from Meta. Removing TCG Card Central from your Facebook Apps and Websites settings stops future Facebook access but does not by itself delete your separate TCG Card Central account. You may request deletion as described below.

3. Payments and transaction data

If you use paid or marketplace features, payment processors may process payment details. TCG Card Central may receive transaction status, payment method metadata, amounts, receipts, order or checkout information, and related identifiers. We do not intentionally store full payment-card numbers when those are handled by our payment processor.

4. How we use information

We use information to provide and maintain the service; authenticate users; operate card scanning, pricing, collection, wishlist, marketplace, trade, vendor, show, messaging, notification, and account features; prevent abuse and fraud; provide support; measure performance; improve functionality; comply with law; and protect users and TCG Card Central.

5. Analytics, cookies, and local storage

We may use cookies, local storage, session storage, analytics tools, and similar technologies for authentication, preferences, security, diagnostics, product analytics, and service performance. Where enabled, analytics providers such as Google Analytics may receive device and usage information subject to their own privacy terms.

6. When we share information

We may share information with service providers that help us operate the platform, such as hosting, database, authentication, email, analytics, payment, marketplace, and infrastructure providers. Transaction information may also be shared with counterparties as necessary to complete a transaction. We may disclose information when required by law or when reasonably necessary to protect rights, safety, security, or prevent fraud or abuse.

We do not sell personal information.

7. Data retention

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain transaction and security records, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Retention periods vary depending on the type of information and why it is needed.

8. Your choices and deletion rights

You may update certain profile information and preferences from your account. To request deletion of your TCG Card Central account, personal information, or information received through Facebook / Meta Login, follow our data deletion instructions or email legal@tcgcardcentral.com with the subject “Delete my data”. We may need to verify your identity before processing a deletion request. Some records may be retained where legally required or necessary for security, fraud prevention, or legitimate transaction records.

9. Security

We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures intended to protect personal information, including encrypted transport, access controls, database security controls, and scoped third-party credentials where appropriate. No system can guarantee absolute security.

10. Children

TCG Card Central is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 provided us personal information, contact us so we can review and delete it as appropriate.

11. International users

TCG Card Central operates from the United States. If you access the service from another country, your information may be processed in the United States or other locations where our service providers operate, subject to applicable law.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as the service changes. We will post the updated policy at this URL and update the effective date when material changes are made.
